We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Service General Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our emergency service operations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of emergency response protocols. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of emergency services, managing a team of professionals, and continuously improving our response strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the emergency services team, including first responders, support staff, and coordinators.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols for emergency response operations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, ensuring high morale and team cohesion.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance emergency response capabilities and improve service delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of emergency services, implementing improvements where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to emergency services.
- Operational Oversight:
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the emergency services department.
- Oversee the allocation and deployment of resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities.
- Ensure the readiness and availability of emergency services for any crisis or disaster scenario.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Oversee procurement and maintenance of emergency equipment and supplies.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for funding and grants to support emergency services.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including local government agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
- Represent the emergency services department in meetings, briefings, and public events.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure a coordinated response to emergencies.
- Training & Development:
- Oversee the development and delivery of training programs for emergency services personnel.
- Ensure all staff are adequately trained and certified in emergency response procedures.
- Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
